We have worked with the Knights of Nottingham for many years, and they never disappoint. They do exactly what they promise, arriving on time, setting up smoothly, and working seamlessly with our team. Our show is a fully immersive theatrical performance. With incredible horsemanship, jaw dropping action and mind blowing skills you are sure to be entertained throughout the day or night!
We perform at a wide range of Historical Houses and Castles throughout the UK as well as providing main arena attractions for Country Shows and Events during the summer months. We have been performing at some venues for over 40 years now and a firm favourite in event calendars.
We also provide our horses and people for film and TV work as well as banquets, private parties and corporate events.

The Knights of Nottingham have been entertaining visitors at Sewerby Hall and Gardens since 1993, and their annual Medieval Jousting event remains one of the highlights of our calendar. Each year, the show draws fantastic crowds, with visitors of all ages enjoying the thrilling displays of horsemanship, sword fighting, and lively storytelling.

We are fully insured with PL and EL cover, Hold our performing with animals licence, Have risk assessments available for all aspects of our show and we are the chosen supplier for multiple councils.

We have been welcoming The Knights of Nottingham to Rockingham Castle for over 20 years of our annual Jousting and Medieval living history event. Every year their shows are fantastic with visitors returning year on year to enjoy the thrilling display.
The team are fantastic to work with, each year they will deliver their action-packed performance with skill, drama and humour, suiting all ages! Aside from the performance the team are prompt, polite, professional, and respectful to the historic site. Any questions we have in the run up to the event, and on the day, are responded to quickly and the team are always happy to help with any issues or requests. Whether its changes to timings due to poor weather, personalising the show content to suit the Castle’s history or requests for radio or social media interviews the team are always very happy to help and support us.

Our Jousting History
The Nottingham Jousting Association (now the Knights of Nottingham) actually came into being by accident. In 1970, the City of Nottingham held a large festival, and because the city has always been closely connected to Robin Hood it was decided that the festival should have a medieval theme.
The daily highlight of the show was to be a Jousting tournament however at that time there were no professional Jousting troupes in England. A local riding school was contacted and a group of local lads were asked to arrange the Jousting sequences. The Jousting tournament at Nottingham caught the imagination of festival organisers throughout England and the Nottingham Jousting Association was formed!
